DINNER ACE took the feature Coral On TV Maiden Stayers Trophy final at Romford on Friday.
Trained by Ernie Gaskin junior, he flew out to make all and score by two lengths in 35.31sec
Jim Daly was pleased with the 23.97sec run of Droopys Pique in the pups open; his dog trapped in front but faced a stern challenge from Nick Savva’s Westmead Maldini at the third bend, before holding on for a length win.
Ardbeg Mentor dominated from the start to win a 400m open in 23.96sec., but later on Adageo was turned over at 2-5 in a 575m open, finishing third beaten two heads after leading off the last turn in a bunched race. Bubbly Verdasco battled through to victory with Murlens Fantasy runner-up.
At Mildenhall, Me Buddy was fastest in the heats for the Mildenhall July Cup, leading at the first to score by three lengths, clocking 23.16sec. The £500 tothe winner final is next Friday
